BENTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF REVIEW INFORMATION
The appeal process is sometimes a mystery to many. If you follow these simple steps we hope it will help eliminate some of the confusion in deciding whether or not to appeal, as well as helping you provide valid information for a successful appeal.
STEP 1

BENTON TWP BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING
The Benton Township Board of Review will meet on March 8 at 1:30pm to allow the Board to review the assessment roll. No appeals will be heard at this meeting. The Board will also meet on the following dates for the purpose of hearing protests to the 2016 assessed and taxable values.
APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR APPEALS AND ARE LIMITED TO 10 MINUTES EACH.

Appeals will be held at the following times:
March 16 from 9:00am to Noon and 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
March 18 from 9:00am to Noon and 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
This meeting will be held at the Benton Township Hall at 5136 Windsor Hwy.
STEP 2
If you have decided to continue with your appeal after reviewing the items in Step 1 you will need to complete the petition and bring it with you to your hearing. Click her for a Petition
STEP 3
Now that your petition has been completed you need to call to schedule an time for your appeal. Appeals are limited to 10 minutes each so it is important to use you time talking about the issues that the Board can address. STEP 4
Prepare your appeal as indicated in the information provided in Step 1.
